It's almost that time of year again...

Time for Ranger Training!

Those new to Rangering (Alphas) and those who have Rangered only one year on playa must take the full Ranger Training.

For those who have Rangered two years or more on playa, you may join the Training later, after lunch, around 1 PM. However, we greatly encourage veteran Rangers to join the training as early as you can, as the Alphas will benefit from your wisdom and wit!

Those coming for the full Training should arrive before 10AM. We start promptly at 10AM, break for lunch and will have several smaller breaks. Training will end by 4 or 5pm, or sometimes longer if we're having too much fun. Please bring LUNCH, water and snacks, and whatever else you'll need to be comfortable. Be prepared to stay later for impromptu get togethers, BBQ's, etc. Again, please do not schedule something else for 5pm, in case the training runs late. If you can't make the whole training, you will need to plan to attend another one!

Both Alphas and returning Rangers are asked to pre-register for training.

Also, if you have not done so yet, please fill out a volunteer questionnaire and indicate your interest in the Black Rock Rangers, which will subscribe you to the Alpha Ranger announce list (a low-traffic announce-only list that will update you periodically on things you need to know before you hit the playa). Returning Rangers do not need to fill out a new questionnaire.
