The Experience
As a Black Rock Ranger, you'll have the opportunity to contribute
to the well-being of the Burning Man community by providing assistance
when people need information, during emergencies, or simply by smiling
and saying "Hi!" to the thousands of people you'll meet.
Rangering will also give you some experience in safety and surviving
the desert environment. You can put in as many hours as you want,
with a minimum of an 8-hour shift, and you'll experience the challenge
of walking around the playa and interfacing with a community of
strong-willed and independent people. It can be an enormous growing
experience if you want it to be.
Rangers want to make sure no one hurts someone else without their
consent.
...and we want to monitor the energy to make sure it flows.
Your participation can play a pivotal role in taking responsiblity
for your experience at Burning Man this year and enhancing that
of many others.
